Freight Shipping Services That Match Cargo, Lane, and Equipment
Freight shipping services are a menu: FTL, LTL, warehousing, reefer, flatbed, and cross-border. Match the SKU to the dock, then quote—do not buy a generic “trucking” line.

Freight shipping services are not one SKU called “trucking.” A chilled produce load, a steel coil, and four pallets of retail replenishment do not belong on the same product code, even if all three move on rubber tires.
COL Freight Solutions sells the matching problem: FTL, LTL, warehousing and distribution, and equipment from dry van to lowboy, plus USA–Mexico–Canada coordination. Tell us the cargo and the constraint; the service name comes after.
Freight shipping services by shipment type
FTL is dedicated capacity. LTL is consolidated pallets. Expedited is a clock, not a trailer type. Volume or partial fills the gap when you have too much for cheap LTL and too little to justify a full van every time. Over-dimensional is a permit problem before it is a marketing problem.
Cross-border is a service wrapper around those modes: bilingual desk, handoffs, and the humility to keep customs with the licensed broker who actually files.
Equipment is a service, not a photo
Dry van protects general freight. Reefer holds a set point. Flatbed, step deck, and lowboy exist because the cargo will not fit a box. Hopper bottoms dump bulk. Conestoga gives side-load access with weather cover. Power-only shows up when you already own the trailer.
If the quote does not name equipment, you do not have a service—you have a hope. COL names the trailer on the quote.
Warehousing sits beside linehaul
Short-term storage, outbound consolidation, and distribution support are freight shipping services that start when the truck stops. Dwell you did not plan is detention by another name.
Ask for warehousing only if you need it. Bundling storage into every FTL quote is how landed cost goes opaque.
What to send so the menu collapses to one option
Commodity, temperature if any, pieces, weight, dims, origin, destination, and the hard constraint (date, dock, or border). That list is enough for COL to drop half the catalog.
Hazmat, used machinery with fluids, and food for human consumption each pull extra rules. Hide them and the service you thought you bought is not legal to run.
Request the service, not a slogan
Use the contact form or 561-880-9808 and name the mode you think you need—then let the desk confirm. Offices in Florida and California quote the same catalog.
Recurring use of those freight shipping services is what makes a conversation about the Transportation Cost Recovery Program™ worth having.
